  • Easy Horoscope - Here's a completely free service for Webmasters. With Easy Horoscope, you can enhance your pages with a Flash daily horoscope and then customise the design of it to match your Web site's style. It's also very simple to implement - you simply copy the HTML code they provide and paste it into your page. Note: you'll need the Macromedia Flash plug-in to access this Web site.
  • Sparklit - Offers a fine Web poll that can be customised with your own questions, colours and designs. It's ideal for gaining feedback from visitors and making your site more interactive. You can implement up to 25 different questions, choose from 12 different designs and play around with more features than any other service. You will also fine a hit counter, guestbook and ad-rotator here.
  • InternetSeer.com - Use this free service to monitor your Web site's uptime/downtime. InternetSeer will probe a host every hour and check for any problems that will stop visitors from viewing your pages. If a problem is found (such as a connection refused error), they will automatically send an e-mail to you and monitor progress until your site is back online. We use it, and it works great.
  • Elated Web Toolbox - The Elated Web Toolbox is an an all-in-one Web design resource. Free buttons, bars, animated GIFs, bullets, backgrounds, clipart, stock photos and Adobe Photoshop actions are all included, plus free Web templates, which you can build an entire site with. Elated also includes Web design tips, Photoshop tips, tutorials and has a great layout that's pleasing to navigate.
  • Aha! Jokes - A superb, family friendly free jokes Web site, featuring jokes in various categories. One liners, office jokes, political jokes, kids jokes, gender jokes, bar jokes and more can be found here. To top this off, Aha! Jokes also serves up funny pictures by category and even includes funny videos and audio. As well as this, they also include a regular poll so you can cast your opinion.
  • Yahooligans! Jokes - A fine free jokes site from Yahoo!'s younger brother, Yahooligans! This site primarily targets children, although adults will likely find the jokes entertaining as well. Yahooligans! separates their jokes into categories, which include: Animals, People, Music, Sports, Science and Nature, People, Weird and Wacky, etc. They'd also appreciate any jokes that you can suggest to them.

Malicious Software Removal Tool

The Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool checks computers running Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows Server 2003 for infections by specific, prevalent malicious software—including Blaster, Sasser, and Mydoom—and helps remove any infection found. When the detection and removal process is complete, the tool displays a report describing the outcome, including which, if any, malicious software was detected and removed.

Google plans worldwide developer day

Google hopes to woo more developers to its Web services software platform with a 27-hour-long "Developer Day" on May 31.

To spark more interest in its development tools and APIs (application programming interfaces), the company on Wednesday invited developers to attend workshops at Google offices in 10 countries. Topics to be covered will include developing location-based services with Google Maps, Google Earth, and SketchUp; creating mash-ups with AJAX (asynchronous JavaScript and Extensible Markup Language) and Google Gadgets, and developing with the Google Web Toolkit.

AOL Launches Search Ad Service with Google

Time Warner Inc.'s AOL division will introduce a paid search service on Monday backed by Google Inc.'s technology to help advertisers better target AOL users.

AOL Search Marketplace is part of a December 2005 agreement with Google in which the Web search leader purchased a $1 billion stake in AOL, the online division of the world's largest media company.

As part of the deal, sponsored links from Google's AdWords technology appeared on AOL Search pages. AOL Search Marketplace, a customized version of AdWords, now lets advertisers reach AOL Search customers more effectively, AOL said.

Free Remote Desktop Manager Tool : Terminals

Terminals is a multi tab terminal services/remote desktop client. It uses Terminal Services ActiveX Client (mstscax.dll).

The project started from the need of controlling multiple connection simultaneously.

Terminals is a free, open source project on CodePlex that allows much better management of remote desktop connections than the default XP/Vista experience.
